The arrival of Jesus Christ and the Holy Family is an important event that took place in Egypt. Follow the footsteps of the holy family throughout Egypt. Visit the holy places where the family rested and took shelter fleeing from their roman persecutors.

During this trip you will discover the ancient monasteries that were built in the exact same spot where Jesus laid his feet and took his first steps. A spiritual experience and a great opportunity to follow one of the most remarkable journeys of our time.

Arrival - Welcome to Egypt!

Arrival in Cairo, our representative will be waiting for you at the airport holding a sign with your name on it. He will escort you to the our car to drive you to your hotel.

Egyptian Musuem, Pyramids of Giza, Memphis and Sakkara

Our first stop will be at the Egyptian Museum, This enormous reddish-bricked Neoclassical building on the banks of the Nile is home to the world's greatest collection of Ancient Egyptian antiquities. Statues, paintings, reliefs and the glittering treasures found in the funerary complexes of the Pharaohs are amongst the museum's extensive collection. 

Then we proceed to the complex Sakkara, where the first stone pyramid was ever built, by King Djoser, around 2700 BC. Followed by visiting the Giza plateau, home to the pyramids of kings Cheops, Chephren, Mykerinos, and the sphinx, dated back around 2580 – 2560 BC.

Wadi El Natroun, St. Macarius, Anba Bishoy, Our Lady of Baramus Monastaries

We start our tour by traveling to the Monastery of Wadi el Natroun located at 110 Km north west of Cairo. It is believed to have special significance to the Holy Family. As the Holy Family traveled west on their journey, it is said they have passed by Wadi el-Natrun and blessed the place.

During our visit we will get the chance to see the monastery complex of St. Macarius, Anba Bishoy, our lady Baramus and Syrian monasteries.

Churches of Cairo

A full Day tour tracking the trip of the holy family within the city of Cairo. We start by visiting the site of the holy tree, where Mary and the child took shelter, the "Church of Mary" has been erected around the tree for its significance.

Then we will processed to the heart of historic Cairo, to visit the church of Saint Mary (Church of the Virgin of Relief), then visiting “The Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church“ also known as the hanging church as it was built on top of a roman fort, it is believed the church was built in the same place where the holy family took shelter for months, before they continued their trip to upper Egypt.
We will end the tour by visiting the church of “Virgin Mary of Maadi” on the bank of the river Nile. The church was built at the very same spot where the holy family crossed the Nile to processed with their trip to upper Egypt.

Coptic Museum

Full day tour to the Coptic museum. The Coptic Museum is a museum in Coptic Cairo. It contains the largest collection of Egyptian Christian artifacts in the world. It was founded by Marcus Samika in 1908 to house Coptic antiquities. The museum traces the history of Egypt from its beginnings to the present day.

St. Paul and St. Anthony Monasteries

Egypt is the birthplace of Monasticism, today we will be visiting the monastery of St. Anthony in the city of "Ras Gharib", and the Monastery of St. Paul in the city of "Zaafarana" around 233 km south east of Cairo.

Both monasteries are among the most important ones in Egypt, and they are among the oldest monasteries that date back to the Byzantine era.

Farewell !

The last day of your trip in Egypt. According to your travel schedule, our representative will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the airport for your flight back home.

Alexandria - Full day trip

Enjoy a full day trip to Alexandria, the most important coastal city and second largest city in Egypt. Alexandria is home to many sites and monuments from the greco-roman period. It is also the seat of the Orthodox church in Egypt.
