Arrival , Welcome to Cairo

Arrival in Cairo, our representative will be waiting for you at the airport holding a sign with your name on it. He will escort you to the our car to drive you to your hotel.

Egyptian Museum, Pyramids of Giza and Sakkara

Our first stop will be at the Egyptian Museum, This enormous reddish-bricked Neoclassical building on the banks of the Nile is home to the world's greatest collection of Ancient Egyptian artifacts. Statues, paintings, reliefs and the glittering treasures found in the funerary complexes of the Pharaohs are amongst the museum's extensive collection. 

Then we proceed to the complex of Sakkara, where the first stone pyramid was ever built, by King Djoser, around 2700 BC. Followed by visiting the Giza plateau, home to the pyramids of kings Cheops, Chephren, Mykerinos, and the sphinx, dated back around 2580 – 2560 BC.

Karnak and Luxor temples

Check out from hotel, transfer to Cairo airport, for domestic flights to Luxor, arrival in Luxor, transfer to hotel.

In the afternoon we start our private tour by visiting the Temple of Karnak, the mecca of ancient Egypt, where every Pharaoh starting from the 12th dynasty up to the 26th Dynasty added a Shrine, an Obelisk or a hypostyle hall.

We then proceed to the Temple of Luxor. This temple is considered one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt. The Temple was used for the coronation of kings and it represented the rejuvenation of kingship in ancient Egypt.

Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

We start the day early in the morning by checking out from our hotel in Luxor and start our journey to Aswan. Our first stop on the way is Edfu where we will be able to visit the Temple of Horus, one of the main deities in ancient Egypt and representative of Kingship and protection.

Our next stop will be Kom Ombo where we are going to visit the temple of Sobek, often represented by a man with a head of a Nile crocodile, the god Sobek was a representation of fertility and was invoked for protection from any dangers presented by the Nile.

Unfinished obelisk, High Dam and Philae Temple

We start our tour by visiting the unfinished obelisk which considered the largest known ancient obelisk. As the project was unfinished the site gives us an idea on how ancient Egyptians built their mega projects. The obelisk and the wider quarry were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979.

We then proceed to The Philae temple complex located on an isolated island further downstream of the Aswan Dam and Lake Nasser. This beautiful and peaceful temple was built during the Ptolemaic era and is dedicated the mother goddess Isis.

On the way we will be stopping by the High Dam, one of the mega structures constructed in the 1960's.

Later that day we will head to Aswan Airpor to catch our flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival our cars will drive you to your hotel.

Wadi El Natroun, St. Macarius, Anba Bishoy, Our Lady of Baramus Monastaries Anba Bishoy, Monastery of Our Lady of Baramus and the monastery of Syrian

We start our tour by traveling to the Monastery of Wadi el Natroun located at 110 Km north west of Cairo. It is believed to have special significance to the Holy Family. As the Holy Family traveled west on their journey, it is said they have passed by Wadi el-Natrun and blessed the place.

During our visit we will get the chance to see the monastery complex of St. Macarius, Anba Bishoy, our lady Baramus and Syrian monasteries.

Churches of Cairo

A full Day tour tracking the trip of the holy family within the city of Cairo. We start by visiting the site of the holy tree, where Mary and the child took shelter, the "Church of Mary" has been erected around the tree for its significance.

Then we will processed to the heart of historic Cairo, to visit the church of Saint Mary (Church of the Virgin of Relief), then visiting “The Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church“ also known as the hanging church as it was built on top of a roman fort, it is believed that the church was built in the same place where the holy family took shelter for months, before they continued their trip to upper Egypt.

We will end the tour by visiting the church of “Virgin Mary of Maadi” on the banks of the river Nile. The church was built at the very same spot where the holy family crossed the Nile to processed with their trip to upper Egypt.

Farewell

The last day of your trip in Egypt. According to your travel schedule, our representative will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the airport for your flight back home.
